I had a revelation on my hike this morning. I often hike a trail near my house a few times a week and frequently see the same folks. It is a bit of a neighborhood playground, with entire families out hiking, dogs included. While I am always keen on candid neighbor relations, I made a resolution today to say "hello" or "good morning" to every person I passed on the trail and on my walk home. Think of it a simple way to extend the Leave No Trace principle
Be Considerate of Other Visitors to neighbors and fellow hikers. Try it the next time you're playing outside - I think you'll find it rewarding and it just might make someone's day!
