In spite of the rain

Winter was here this weekend. Cold cold temps, rain and perhaps a dusting of snow. I was looking forward to getting out for a nice mountain run. First I had to find my lightweight gloves and warmer running clothes.

As usual, once I was out the door, I was happy to be on the trails. And the funny thing was, everyone out that day was wearing smiles. There was certainly a shared feeling of companionship among the few out in the weather, on what would otherwise be very crowded trail. A great reminder that a little preparation can make almost any situation enjoyable!
