That's the Leave No Trace logo I'm pointing at in Santiago, Chile! As the nonprofit partner of Adventure Film, Leave No Trace was featured in the recent three day film festival taking place in this outdoor mecca of South America.
The film festival was my first stop in Chile, but not the last time I heard of Sin Dejar Huellas during my stay. The next two weeks offered us a wealth of amazing recreational activities, spectacular scenery and true friendships made. I even met several individuals who thought that Leave No Trace only existed in Chile! I was amazed to find a community of outdoor enthusiasts and environmentalists not to dissimilar to my own in Boulder, CO. It's encouraging and invigorating to find Leave No Trace's work recognized well beyond the borders of the United States, and know that this is much more of a global community than we often have the time to notice.
