Intern Help

Most non profits I know of could use an extra hand once in a while - if not all the time. Usually resources are spread pretty thin. When the opportunity to have an intern (or two) arises, we generally jump at the chance. Now, interns aren't always a perfect fit for an organization but for the most part, we have had wonderful workers over the years and this summer has been no exception.

Our two interns this summer, Whit and Lili, have not only been wonderful to work with, they have fit into our small group almost seamlessly. And the projects they've accomplished will leave a lasting impact on this organization. These two stars have helped create a usable photo library, built new constituency groups, maximized our social networking/communications, helped schedule the Traveling Trainers, conducted research surveys and more. Sound like a lot? Well it is and we're tremendously proud of all they have accomplished in such a short period of time.

But don't worry - we didn't work them to the bone. We made time for a little fun here and there (see pics of our group bike ride and Whit's frisbee skills). If given the choice - hire an intern. It can often make the difference between good and great for a non profit.

Interested in joining the Leave No Trace staff here in Boulder? More information on internships can be found here: http://www.lnt.org/aboutUs/internships.php.
