The theme was green this afternoon, at a Denver Town Hall meeting hosted by Vice President Joe Biden. I was lucky to be in attendance on behalf of Leave No Trace, as Biden unveiled a plan to use $500 million in federal stimulus funding for the renewable energy sector, weatherizing homes and other green jobs.
Colorado Senator, Michael Bennet welcomed the the Vice President back to the Denver Museum of Nature and Science where almost 100 days ago, Biden and Obama signed the stimulus bill. Labor Secretary Hilda Solis and Housing and Urban Development Secretary Shaun Donovan will oversee the $500 million project, and they were joined by Tom Vilsack, the Secretary of Agriculture and others.
