Meet Jonathan Klamm- New Education Intern

I’d like to introduce myself as the new (and soon to be old) education intern for Leave No Trace. My name is Jonathan Klamm and I’m originally from Liberty, Missouri. I say soon to be old only because my stay here at the Center is only 3 very short weeks. Another summer job has limited the time I can stay and help with Leave No Trace, but I’m very excited to lend a hand while I can.

My background as an Eagle Scout and general lover of the outdoors led me to look to Leave No Trace for an internship, and ultimately at a future career somewhere in the outdoor industry. I am currently a senior at the University of Missouri with a major in business and a minor in natural resources. I have also been working with another non-profit called Sustain Mizzou (shameless plug) back in Columbia, and am very interested in working with non-profits at some point in my hazy, post graduate school, future.

During my stay here in Boulder, I am helping to create an online awareness workshop. This workshop will hopefully allow people to gain a basic understanding of Leave No Trace principles as well as programs offered by the Center. Stay tuned in the next week or so for this becoming the first step to Leave No Trace online education!
